Elizabeth & Gianni
Our wedding will take place on Friday, July 11, 2026, at Villa XXX in Lake Como, Italy. Please see the Schedule page for details on the weekend’s events.
The most convenient airport for international guests is Milan Malpensa (MXP) -- about an hour from the lake with tons of flight options. This is what we'd recommend for most people.
To get to Como from Malpensa:
Train: Takes ~1h 15min and costs ~€11. Take the Malpensa Express to Saronno (~20 minutes), switch over to the train to Como Lago (~40 minutes)
Private Transfer/Taxi: Takes ~45min and costs €130–160. Door-to-door, easiest option (especially with luggage)
Rental Car: Most flexible option if you're feeling brave!
Alternate Airports:
Milan Linate (LIN): good option for European connections.
Bergamo (BGY): budget carriers (Ryanair, etc.) often fly into here -- a bit further but still doable
Zurich (ZRH): Major international hub with great connections. About 2 hours by train to the Lake Como area -- Swiss trains are excellent and the route is scenic
Lugano (LUG): Technically the closest airport to Como (~30 km), but it's tiny with very limited flights
Please refer to our Hotels page for our most up-to-date list of hotel recommendations.
We recommend booking early as July is high season in Como.
The dress code for the wedding is black-tie. Gentlemen: tuxedos. Ladies: long dresses.
To allow everyone (including parents!) to fully enjoy the weekend, we've decided to make our wedding adults-only.
Mid-July in Lake Como is warm and sunny, with temperatures typically in the high 70s to low 80s°F (25–28°C). Evenings cool down to the low 60s. Afternoon thunderstorms can pop up but are usually short-lived.
