Elizabeth & Gianni
Our wedding will take place on Friday, July 11, 2026, at Villa XXX in Lake Como, Italy. Please see the Schedule (https://www.elizabethandgianni.com/schedule-1)page for details on the weekend’s events.
The most convenient airport for international guests is Milan Malpensa (MXP) -- about an hour from the lake with tons of flight options. This is what we'd recommend for most people.
To get to Como from Malpensa:
• Train: Takes ~1h 15min and costs ~€11. Take the Malpensa Express to Saronno (~20 minutes), switch over to the train to Como Lago (~40 minutes)
• Private Transfer/Taxi: Takes ~45min and costs €130–160. Door-to-door, easiest option (especially with luggage)
• Rental Car: Most flexible option if you're feeling brave!
Alternate Airports:
• Milan Linate (LIN): good option for European connections.
• Bergamo (BGY): budget carriers (Ryanair, etc.) often fly into here -- a bit further but still doable
• Zurich (ZRH): Major international hub with great connections. About 2 hours by train to the Lake Como area -- Swiss trains are excellent and the route is scenic
• Lugano (LUG): Technically the closest airport to Como (~30 km), but it's tiny with very limited flights
Please refer to our Hotels (https://www.elizabethandgianni.com/hotels)page for our most up-to-date list of hotel recommendations.
We recommend booking early as July is high season in Como.
The dress code for the wedding is black-tie. Gentlemen: tuxedos. Ladies: long dresses.
To allow everyone (including parents!) to fully enjoy the weekend, we've decided to make our wedding adults-only.
Mid-July in Lake Como is warm and sunny, with temperatures typically in the high 70s to low 80s°F (25–28°C). Evenings cool down to the low 60s. Afternoon thunderstorms can pop up but are usually short-lived.
